Yvonne Phillips is a fourth generation Native American basket weaver.  Her family, Abenaki Indians originally from the Canadian border area, were a prime source of Adirondack style pack baskets nationwide.  Yvonne, who learned the art from her grandparents, hand weaves her baskets from hand felled Adirondack ash.  She creates Adirondack pack baskets, candle baskets, arrow quivers, fishing baskets, wine baskets, letter holders, flower holders, and more.  Her shop, in a red barn on East Starbuck Lane,  features her baskets and other locally produced crafts and is open Saturdays and Sundays.

Adirondack Furniture by Jason R. Henderson
Jason's work is the product of an ongoing exploration of utility.  How does the furniture form define the space that it occupies?  How do people interact with the form and utility of the work?  However, he is most interested in the degree of adherence to traditional furniture archetypes and how that changes how people interact with and view the work.

Jeannette Brandt and Mike Parwana of Chicken Coop Forge believe, as did the proponents of the Arts and Crafts movement, that not only can everyday things be beautiful as well as useful, but that everyday life is enhanced if people are surrounded by well-made beautiful things.  They create commissioned heirloom quality ornamental ironwork using traditional forging methods and modern techniques.  This includes a large variety of traditional and contemporary products in forged steel, based on the customer's ideas and style, or their own design.

Lise Winne
Lise Winne is known for her songwriting, guitar and angelic soprano vocals.  Winner of a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts, on the playlist of the prestigious "Mists of Avalon" radio program out of NJ and the member of two bands, The Spirites Consort (classical, Renaissance, new interpretations of old songs) and Saratoga Faire (folk and originals), Lise’s style is often innovative and defies categorization.  "Winne recalls early Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell, but her sound is actually older--it's ancient, timeless. . ." (David Malachowski, Albany Times Union, former guitarist for Shania Twain).  Lise has released 3 albums since 1996 and her 4th is to be released soon.  Lise started out as a visual artist and has a bachelors in studio art and a masters in art education and still exhibits occasionally.
