Inspired by old rustic designs at the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain
Lake, Don Moeller specializes in creating rustic clocks. Materials
used are primarily birch bark and yellow birch, plus various other
twigs, cones and bark. Clock styles include octagon and
hexagon, banjo, school, mantel and chalet. |

Persis (“Perky”) Granger, a freelance writer, is the author of the young
adult historical novel Adirondack Gold, its accompanying
teacher’s guide and a sequel, A Summer of Strangers, most
