The Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Councils Lapham Gallery
presents IN THE SPIRIT OF DEGAS: ART INSPIRED BY
MUSIC, a juried exhibition. Artwork in a
variety of disciplines will be on display through October 4.
Artists were asked to enter up to two pieces, interpreting
their own emotional reaction, conceptualization, or
influence by the music in their lives, as Degas was by the
music of his era. Forty-nine regional artists are showcased
in various artistic disciplines--oils, pastels, watercolors,
illustrations, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, metal, stone,
photography.
