Deborah Clinton

Deborah Clinton studied Art at American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. There she took studio lessons from Richard Doyle, the originator of Twig Painting. After receiving her BA degree from AIC, She went on to get a MSED Degree from the College of St Rose and taught in Schenectady for 20 years. She retired from teaching in 2016 and devoted her time back into creative endeavors. She is a diversified artist working in many mediums such as wool, pine needles, stained glass and silk screening as well as oil painting. Deborah has done original designs in stained glass that include full panels and lanterns. She , also, creates 3D needle felted sculptures of animals and people out of wool roving. Baskets are woven in a New England Style from pine needles and waxed thread. Her silk screen designs on tee shirts are unique and original. Deborah lives in Kattskill Bay with her husband and 2 canine friends. Her studio is called “Brown House Art Studio.
