Opening this Friday, September 29th at 5pm in the Lapham Gallery is Axis Mundi: A Multimedia Art Installation by artist Jack Montoya @jackmontoyastudio!

This immersive installation is a must see and will only be on display until 3pm on Saturday, September 30th.

Art drop offs for our upcoming Juried Show: For Reasons Unknown start today!

Artists working in all mediums are invited and encouraged to submit pieces of work to be juried into our Annual Juried Show!

Limit of 5 pieces per artist and drop off fee is $5 per piece.

Drop Off Dates: Thursday, Sept 21st - Wednesday, Sept 27th (Lapham Gallery will be closed Sunday, Sept 24th)

Lapham Gallery Hours: Monday - Saturday, 10am - 3pm, extended hours until 6pm on Thursdays.

The opening reception for our Annual Juried Show will be Friday, October 6th at 5pm.

Thursday, Oct. 19, 1-3pm: Create a Felt Greeting Card
Learn to wet felt and create your very own special front to a greeting card. Workshop led by fiber artist Barbara Ryan. $35/person.

Thursday, October 19, 12:30-3pm
Abstract Landscape Painting in Acrylic
Artist Sue Beadle will lead students in painting their own abstract landscape masterpieces in acrylic on prepared boards, using bright color and dynamic composition. After paintings are complete, Sue will assist participants in framing their own works.
$50/person.

Wednesday, October 25, 1-3pm: Felting a Small Vessel
Learn to wet felt a small vessel or pouch using a resist and wool roving in this workshop taught by fiber artist Joy Muller-McCoola. $35/person.

All materials supplied and for all artistic abilities, each workshop.

Our next Community Art Grant Workshop is going to be held at @birdsofafeatherstudiogallery on October 3rd at 3pm!

If you are interested in learning about how you can receive upwards up $2,500 - $5,000 in funding for art and cultural programs, RSVP today to outreach@larac.org.

While in North Creek this morning, Grant Coordinat

While in North Creek this morning, Grant Coordinator, Alyssa, got the chance to visit the largest community artwork in the Adirondacks! Done by artist Kate Hartley and thousands of volunteers, this mural was partially funded for 8 consecutive years through LARAC’s Community Arts grant program 🤩 this mural is such a spectacular piece of artwork and we are so honored to have played a small roll in making this happen. Kate, you are AWESOME and congratulations on completing this monumental piece of art 🧩🌲North Creek is so lucky to have you!
