Growing up in Ballston Spa, NY I developed a greater than average interest in books and illustration having been encouraged by my Great Aunt Opal Wheeler, a prolific writer of books for young readers. Since then I've loved creating artwork for books of my own, some featuring familiar licensed characters, as well as greeting cards, watercolor still lifes and more.
I'm thrilled when a child is enchanted having been given a picture book of mine, or someone wants my artwork as their own. This is what makes all the hard work (and deadlines!) worth it.
