Community Art Grants
This opportunity is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
Community Art Grants provide support for art and cultural projects to non-profit organizations, groups, collectives, and artists. LARAC provides financial support to artists and organizations in Warren and Washington County through 3 categories: Project Support, Individual Artist, and Art Education. The purpose of Community Art Grants is to make art accessible to all by bringing all artistic forms to the communities of Warren and Washington County.

Thursday, October 24th | 4pm - Grantee Panel at LARAC, 7 Lapham Place, Glens Falls
Join LARAC and four current and past grantees to ask hear about their experience hosting arts programming and applying to our Community Art grants, as well as tips and tricks on applying to arts grants. This event is free and open to all.

LARAC is looking for individuals with backgrounds in the arts and knowledge of their community to serve on our funding grant panels. If interested, or if you would like to recommend an individual, please fill out the Panelist Nomination Form.
2025 FUNDING PRIORITIES:
Provide accessible, quality art programming to all residents in our region
Support programs from new or up-and-coming community organizations
Support programs that are innovative and reflect the diverse art forms currently present in our region
Support programs that reflect the geographic area and culture of Warren or Washington County
Project Support
The Project Support Grant is available to 501(c)(3) or New York State non-profit organizations with an active board of trustees. Programs must take place in 2025, be open/accessible to the public, and must reflect the art/culture within Warren or Washington County.
Applicants may apply for a minimum of 1 but no more than 3 programs to be funded and may request an amount between $500 – $5,000 total across all programs.

Art Education
K-12 IN SCHOOL LEARNING GRANT
The Art Education; In School K-12 Grant is designed to support art education projects in K-12 school settings, in partnership between art educators and public schools. Programs must take place during or after school in the 2025 calendar year, be arts/cultural in nature, and students must meet for at least (3) hands on sessions with the participating teaching artist(s). Non-profit organizations can apply directly for funds but must include a letter of support from the teaching artist(s) and partnering school. The applicant’s legal address must reside in the same county as the proposed program.
Organizations and Individual Artists may apply for a funding between $500 – $5,000

COMMUNITY BASED LEARNING GRANT
The Art Education; Community Based Learning Grant is designed to support art education projects in community-based settings such as libraries, community centers, and senior centers. Programs must take place in the 2025 calendar year. Program must include at least (3) hands on sessions with the same teaching artist(s) and same group of students. Non-profit organizations can apply directly for funds but must include a letter of support from the teaching artist(s). The applicant’s legal address must reside in the same county as the proposed program.
Organizations and Individual Artists may apply for a funding between $500 – $5,000

Individual Artist
The Individual Artist Grant is available to artists located in Warren or Washington County for the creation of a new body of work in 2025. Funded artists will receive a stipend of $3,000 to be used for supplies, marketing, space rental, or as personal compensation.
Applicants must be 18+ with their primary residence located in Warren or Washington County. The proposed work must be new, reflect local culture, and support the applying artist’s artistic growth. Artists who received an Individual Artist Grant in 2024 are ineligible.
